Perhaps one of the more ironic locations for a video premiere party, Burton’s latest movie, 13, played in front of a crowd of enthusiastic onlookers in, of all places, a former synagogue. The Angel Orensanz Foundation not only played host to the movie, but also to live performances from the Flatbush Zombies, the RZA and a burlesque-inspired fashion show of this year’s latest outerwear.

The evening started out with a grand re-opening reception for the freshly remodeled Burton SOHO Flagship store complete with free hotdogs, Mtn Dew, PBR, jams from Jasmine Solano on the turntables, and autographs from Mark Sollors, Ethan Deiss, Mikey Rencz and Terje Haakonsen before everyone headed over to the premiere.

From the outside, no one knew what to expect walking into the Angel Orensanz Foundation and that theme continued throughout the night. The party got started with free drinks and food followed by a burlesque dance and fashion show that left the crowd wide-eyed and awed. Amid the cheers and applause, 13 premiered and got everyone fired up for winter. The Flatbush Zombies kept the party rolling and got the crowd riled up for the RZA to come out and take the show to the 37th Chamber.
